We stayed at the Twin Lotus for our honeymoon. I had booked a double room with a plunge pool however on arrival we were upgraded to a pool villa meaning we had the most beautiful bungalow for our four night stay. The bed was very comfortable, sheets were light and soft and there was a mosquito net available to protect against bites. The shower was powerful and warm and there was a TV and a hairdryer as well as complimentary toiletries and a minibar. 1 litre of water per day was provided to us for free. The room also came with robes, towels and slippers, and was exceptionally clean and perfectly made up each day. We were welcomed at the entrance of the hotel by a security guard and the concierge who kindly took our bags to our room. The check in process was slick and we were able to refresh with a cool towel and a delicious juice drink. The pool bar was busy all day but you could always get a seat and the staff were so attentive. One even remembered we mentioned we would like drinks at happy hour and promptly came over to the beach area to ask what we wanted. All staff were so friendly and attentive. The food was so good! We had a curry for lunch at the Baracuda Beach Bar and it was devine. I am coeliac so I was really pleased to see plenty of naturally gluten free options, Savannah Cider bottles at the bar and wine options. The resort is located right on the beach and has plenty of shops a short walk from the hotel. There is a taxi station right outside, it is very close to Sala Dan in location and the hotel offered a free first come first served shuttle to Sala Dan daily. Smile Lanta are the travel company based at hotel reception, they booked us onto an amazing day trip kayaking and exploring the nearby mangroves and islands. They also booked us a door to door transfer by taxi and ferry to our onwards hotel. The thing I loved the most was the spa!

The hotel is in a beautiful situation on a lovely beach. There are 3 swimming pools, all of which are nice. The main pool at the beach is busy and it’s almost impossible to find a sun bed there unless you’re very early or much later in the day. There is the usual policy of not reserving beds in advance but sadly nothing seemed to be done about it. However, the other 2 pools are quiet and, in my opinion, more peaceful and relaxed. All the staff are great and go out of their way to be helpful. The breakfasts are good but we didn’t have dinner in the hotel this year. There are so many restaurants surrounding the hotel, on the road behind, on the main road too and also on the beach. Most of these are good restaurants and all are cheaper. I’d particularly recommend The Sisters and The Kitchen on the main road, 5 mins by tuktuk or 15 mins walk and Veed Vew and Koala Bar both on Klong Dao beach just down from the hotel. But the best place of all is Mook Bar on the beach to watch the sunset or for late night cocktails 😍

The communication before arrival was excellent. We were arriving late at night and they helped to make everything go smoothly with someone meeting us at the airport (for cost) but worth it. When we arrived they had upgraded us to a villa with a plunge pool which made our trip. The breakfasts were amazing! Played crib by the pool nightly to watch the beautiul sunsets. As the resort was big we did not have a lot of interaction with staff but everyone greeted you with a smile in passing. The location was perfect for us as we like to walk the long sandy beach and only a 20-minute walk to Saladan. We rented a scooter for 2 days. We are in the mid-'60s and felt safe driving the scooter which allowed us to explore the island and Lanta old town which was fun. We stayed 6 nights and could have stayed longer.

This hotel was well located about 5 mins taxi ride from the pier. It is a beautiful location with luxurious bungalows and rooms that sit amongst amazing gardens and jungle-like environment. we loved the peace and quiet of the whole resort. The big feature for us was our terrace where you could luxuriate in the evenings (if you weren’t able to watch the amazing sunsets on the beach). The hotel rooms were also very well equipped, serviced and the bathrooms were amazing. You can easily walk along the beachfront to other bars and restaurants to get a taste of the local food and offerings. All the staff were welcoming, polite, helpful and accommodating our every need. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice for Asian, international and European foods on offer.

Andrea

It’s a large resort with many facilities! 3 pools, with 1 being on the beach front which is gorgeous. Amazing breakfast with plenty of choice. Lovely staff who will collect you in the buggy to take you to your room and get you checked in. Resort is super quiet compared to some of the others we stayed at! They upgraded us to a room with a private pool which was really lovely.
